Chill place to get good juices, coffee, food and work on your laptop, play chess, have intelligent conversation with a friend.

Good food in a comfortable setting.

Very interesting menu, great back patio, nicely redecorated, and reasonable prices. We had good, quick service and I enjoyed my Chinese chicken salad.

Lovely little cafe, great drinks, good food menu, nice inside and outdoor seating, huge windows for good natural light, chess board tables available, very comfortable seating. Parking available on street and in the parade across the street.

Fairfix Cafe is very inconsistent with the food quality and preparation. Omelet was really underwhelming, butter for my English muffin tasted old, coffee one visit tastes good and next visit tastes weak with no real flavor. Noticed glasses, plates and silverware with little bits of food stuck on from not being cleaned well enough. Really overpriced for the very mediocre food and service. So many good places to eat in Fairfax, best to stay clear of Fairfix Cafe.

We just had a wonderful meal at Fairfix Cafe on the back patio. The menu all looked so good, it was hard to decide. The Chicken Mediterranean and Salmon Picatta were delicious. This is the first time I had gone since Mike Ghiringelli owned it. Good work Mike. Your staff is so friendly and accommodating.

Really enjoyed an evening at the Fairfix Café, and now my mom can't wait to go and try the lobster roll and dollar happy hour oysters.Sipping a really nice Cazadero cabernet and snacking on the lobster mac and cheese was good, but for me the pièce de résistance was a fresh oyster and the Parma ham, which was cut to exactly the right thickness to feel buttery and luscious, emphasizing its sweet candy Parma ham flavor.

Wonderful menu of salads, wraps, homemade soups. Everything we ordered was tasty. Marked down for greens that had been sitting and were browned at cut ends. :-(

A great place for Mediterranean type food. Prices are reasonable. Excellent housemade lemonade. A top choice for cheap eats in Fairfax.

DIY LCCB! all was good, commercial bagel (it's a café not a bakery) acceptable, i like the presentation, especially since I forgot to ask for "open face" ☺

What a neat place along the main drag in Fairfax! Excellent food, lots of small plates if one wishes, very nice wine list for you wine drinkers. They have music there several nights a week.

Great coffee

I ordered a buttermilk waffle that was hard and dry with almost no taste. I took two bites and left. What looked like the owner/manager asked if I was through and I said yes, he made no comment. Won't ser me again.

Only put five stars to get this seen. Been going to Fairfix for years, I have never had such a horrible experience at a cafe. Asked for a fruit salad and oatmeal but got a blow of fruit with milk. When I told them they didn’t get my order right they where rude but gave me oatmeal with defrosted blueberry. I ask for brown sugar and milk but was told to just use the stuff from the coffee section. Ended up leaving hungry and slightly ticked off at a place I have been going to for over ten years.

Needed a quick dinner late on a Sunday evening, just happened to be right next to FairFix. Got a fantastic sandwich and salad for less than $10, took maybe 5 minutes. Highly recommend this place.
